LONDON FASHION WEEK - DAY 4: LAKO BUKIA

Sorry I've been AWOL for an entire week, I've been completely swamped with assignments and had to prioritise them over my blog. However, I submitted them all today (YAYAYAYAY) and now only have a few remaining assignments due before my university year ends in March.
This is my final post from London Fashion Week. I assisted back stage at Lako Bukia and was able to squeeze in and watch the show, where I stood at the end of the catwalk next to the massively intimidating photographers: enabling me to take some pretty incredible photos on Laura's SLR. In an attempt to calm my nerves before my Prose interview, Laura and I had a browse around the exhibition at Vauxhaul Fashion Scout, before I went backstage (photo's right at the bottom).

LAKO BUKIA

The Lako Bukia A/W 12 collection was a plethora of metallics, slick top knots, knee high boots and meshing The exaggerated Scouse brows combined with otherwise minimal make up provided a feeling of ethereal high end couture. It was simply spectacular. I don't know whether it was because this was the second show I'd ever attended (merely an hour or so after PROSE) but I was in complete awe of all the models, they're simply unworldly - you can totally see why a vast majority of male celebrities are dating/married to them as no one could actually compare to these sub-human creatures. They're literally the most beautiful people I've ever seen (and I've got some genuinely stunning friends and have seen numerous beautiful celebrities in 'real life') - I was completely awestruck - a state assisted by the absolute splendour of Lako Bukia's collection.

What were your favourite shows of Fashion Week?
I particularly loved Tania's backstage vlog the Burberry Prorsum Womenswear show - it was, as expected, on a whole other level to the backstage prep I observed at Lako Bukia.

  1. Those pink and black platform shoes look amazing - I dunno if I'd have the nerve to wear them though :)

  2. Great post! Working fashion shows is so much fun. And who is that little Barbie character in the front row? To me I believe commercial models are very pretty, but not runway models. They have just gotten too too skinny (and that's not usually an issue for me) and after working several fashion weeks they show up to work not showered and sloppy...glam kind've wears off after that :/
